Another Beatles Classic

Music would be very different today if it wasn't for the Beatles, whether people accept it or not.

Every time I try to post Beatles’ song which would gives us the inspiration, I always seem to run into difficulties of selecting a songs as Beatles’ songs are all so good.

After the contemplation, I am posting “Hey Jude” which we can confirm Paul McCartney’s true artistic talent.

It is said that Paul acquired inspiration from John Lennon and his son Julian Lennon when he wrote song.

This was Paul McCartney trying to make Julian feel better after John and Cynthia's divorce. Paul originally wrote “Hey Jules”, but “Hey Jude” sounded better.

“And anytime you feel the pain, hey Jude, refrain,
don't carry the world upon your shoulders.
For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool
by making his world a little colder.”

This may be the message for all to us…

과연 사람들이 수용할지 모르지만,만약 비틀즈 음악이 아니었으면 오늘날의 음악은 달라지지 않았을지…

비틀즈 곡을 포스팅 할때마다 느끼는점…비틀즈의 곡 모두가 너무 좋아서…어떤곡을 포스팅하면 좋을지 고민이 많이 됩니다…특히 영감을 주는곡.

고민끝에 이번에는 비틀즈의 명곡중 하나이자 폴 매카트니의 진가를 확인할 수 있는 "Hey Jude" 를 포스팅해 봅니다. 이노래의 영감은폴 매카트니가 존 레논과 그의 아들 주리안 레논을 보고 노래를 만들 었다 합니다.

폴 매카트니가 존 레논의 첫번째부인 신시아 레논과 오노 요코와의 싸움으로 인해 상처받은 줄리앙 레논을 위로하기 위해서 만들었다고 합니다. 68년 발표되어 큰 히트를 쳤던 노래입니다. 폴은 당초 "Hey Jules"로 했지만, "Hey Jude"의 느낌이 더좋았답니다.

Is Love Desitiny?

SERENDIPITY

This is such a wonderful true loving movie!!!

Do you believe in Love? Fate? That everything happens for a reason? Astrology? Premonitions? The movie “SERENDIPITY” is full of all of these things and come to find out the story is delightful!

I am not sure how much you believe in serendipity - good fortune discovered by accident also known as fate, but this movie could make a believer out of you.

Jonathan (John Cusack) and Sara (Kate Beckinsale) are wonderful together as soul mates that overcome every obstacle to be together! They are successful because it was meant to be. If you can't suspend reality, and just go with the flow, then this movie probably isn't for you. It is meant for those that can have faith.

Sara and Jonathan are two New Yorkers who "accidently" meet up one night, spend a couple of magical hours together. Turns out, they really hit it off. Due to a sequence of unlikely events, they are separated and go their separate ways.

To Test Fate, Sara writes her Phone number on a book (Love in the Time of Cholera), which Sara sells the next day at a used book store.

Jonathan writes his phone number on the backside of a five dollar bill with a pink rarker. Then, Sara uses the currency to purchase a candy from a street vendor that night allowing fate to determine if they are meant to be together!!

A few years later both are supposed to be married - almost on the same day. Only problem is (you guessed it) by now they're supposed to marry different people. At the eleventh hour both start having second thoughts and begin having reveries about their one enchanting evening together.

The balance of the story traces their attempts to get back in touch with each other while their friends believe they've gone looney. The result is what is quite possibly the funnest & sweetest Romantic Comedy since “While You Were Sleeping”.

The movie implies that “By Throwing Caution to the Wind, You are allowing Fate to Decide your path in Life.” This practice of understanding will make you more aware that "Once Doors Closed Windows will Open."

This Movie enforces thoughts of "Forget the Past and Future, Live the Present Moment!! You can only enjoy this Second of Time!!

Remember that there are Windows and Clues all around us but one must look and believe!!!

If you have a date tonight, I would seriously recommend this film. If you don't have a date tonight, find one & then watch it together. As a last resort, watch it by yourself. Remember: everything happens for a reason!

조나단(존 쿠색)과 새라(케이트 베켄세일)는 함께할수 있음을 위하여 모든 장애물을 함께 극복하는 훌륭한 천생연분 입니다. 운명이기 때문에 그들은 성공 합니다. 만약 당신이 현실에서 머물고 그저 세상의 흐름과 함께하는 사람이라면 아마 이영화는 당신을 위한 영화가 아닐 것입니다. 이영화는 오직 믿음을 가진 사람들에게만 의미가 있기 때문이 아닌지…

Sometimes an artist channels something so profound; they become a force of nature…Mercedes Sosa is such an artist. Her voice is as deep as a canyon and as wide as a sea. As Spanish is my third language. I still can’t understand everything. But, I don't need to when I listen to Mercedes Sosa. The passion in her voice transcends language and is as universal as the sound of the crashing surf. "Grasias A La Vida" is the kind of song that makes usthat makes we are glad to be alive, and reinforces that feeling with a thanks to creation. This is the kind of music that touches the soul and speaks to the common thread of what it is to be human…To a singer, I can give no higher praise.

Good Will Hunting

Have you ever seen a movie “Good Will Hunting”? Matt Damon was a Harvard student(who dropped out to act), and he won an Academy Award for writing the script. It is a human drama about a mathmatical genius who struggles to achieve friendship by opening his heart.

A janitor at MIT, Will is a mathmatical genius living a rough life in South Boston who was severely abused as a child and has been in trouble with the law ever since. He is discovered by a Fields Medal winning Professor who eventually tries to get Will to turn his life around, as Will begins to realize that there's more to himself then he thinks there is. When Will finally agrees to get counseling to keep himself out of jail and with his girlfriend, he meets Sean (Robin Willims), the therapist who will change his life. “Good Will Hunting” is a human drama that tells the poignant story of Will and Sean's coming to terms with the life that has been dealt to them and with the questions that lie in the future. Will through his transformation, and a med student who shows him that there can be a pretty face along with his life of the mind.

What is life? What life really is becomes apparent when we stop searching for the meaning of it, The buddhists/hindus have known this for centuries. In meditation and non-doing, we see that true reality is whatever you believe it to be. We are literally creators of our own reality despite what most religions tell you. In christianity one is always looking towards the future for enlightenment and is constantly striving, which creates suffering. So try and enjoy life for what it is now, for that’s all there is

Yes, this is the best scene from the Good Will Hunting! Robin Williams can be a terrific actor depending who the director of the movie is, like in this case, really profound, not overacted, right in the middle, I love it.

The Beatles are more than just music, it is a way of life! This song means so much to me - sometimes it makes me stop and let things go of their own way.

Listening to this song leaves me breathless. Whenever I feel uneasy about something silently singing this song helps me calm down and brings the peace of mind.

Today, the songs don't have any meaning, and do not evoke any type of emotions. The songs back then had a deep meaning. When I hear this song it makes me think about the life and the world, and I have rarely experienced that from any song in the last 10 or even 20 years. The Beatles and The Who are the only two bands that have produced music that can bring me to emotionally overwhelming.

The saddest part of the story is that The Beatles preached an impossible cause. Life thrives off of diversity and competition, conflict remains a constant in the equation of life where the rest are just variables. There will always be people who crave an abstract world of pure bliss that only barely makes sense in their minds, let alone in reality. Try as hard as we may, we will never just let it be.

The Beatles is simply epic!! This is real music!!


순리에 맡기라는 말 속에 해답이..

비틀즈는 음악을 떠나서 삶의 한 방법이 아닌지! 이 노래는 나에게 많은 의미를 주며 - 가끔 나 자신을 멎게하고, 사물들을 그 나름대로 보게합니다.

이 노래를 듣고 있자면 마음을 졸이게 합니다. 언제나 왠지 모르게 마음이 무거울 때 마다 마음속으로 이노래를 부르면 마음이 진정되고 마음의 평화를 느끼게 해줌을 느낌니다.

요즈음의 노래들은 의미도 별로 없고 어떤 종류의 감정도 불러 일으키지 않는 것같습니다. 지난 이시절의 노래들은 많은 의미를 지니고 있지 않은가 생각 해봅니다. 이 노래를 들을 때면 지난 10년 아니 20년동안 어느 노래에서 미처 경험해 보지 못했던 삶과 세상에 대해 생각을 하게되는 충동을 느끼게 합니다. 개인적인 생각으로는 유일하게도 Beatles 와 Who, 이 두 밴드 만이 압도적인 감동을 유도 할수 있는 음악을 만들어 낼수 있지 않은가 생각해 봅니다.

뒤를 돌아다 보면, 애석하게도 비틀즈는 불가사를 왜치지 않았는가를 생각해 봅니다. 삶은 다양성과 경쟁속에 번성하며, 갈등은 아직까지도 삶의 방정식에서 의 많은 변수가운데 일정한 상태로 로 남아있습니다. 거기에는 현실을 떠나서 항상 순수하고 추상적인 희열의 간절히 바라고 추구하는 마음의 삶을 발견할수 있습니다. 우리 모두가 어떤노력을 하든 모든 것을 순리에만 맞기지 못하지 않을 까 생각해 봅니다.

어느 누구라도 한 점 후회없는 인생을 살 수는 없겠지... 하지만

후회로 점철된 인생으로 생을 마감하고 싶은 사람 또한 아무도 없겠지...

이곳 미시간도 일요일의 아침이 밝았습니다.

정신없이 지난간…지난 한주를 생각 해보니…얼마전 읽은 네델란드의 저명한 심리학자 Douwe Draaisma의 'Why life speeds ap as you get older' 란 책에서 본… 인생을 흐르는 강물에 빗대 표현한…재미있는 구절이 생각 납니다.

'인생의 초입에 서 있는 사람은
강물보다 빠른 속도로 강둑을 달릴 수 있다.
중년에 이르면 속도가 조금 느려지기는 하지만,
아직 강물과 보조를 맞출 수 있다.
그러나 노년에 이르러 몸이 지쳐버리면
강물의 속도보다 뒤쳐지기 시작한다.'

제법 그럴듯한 비유가 아닌지?

생각해보니…가끔은…하루 24시간이 짧게만 느껴질 때가 있습니다…어린 소년이었을때는 하루종일을 정신없이 뛰어놀아도 하루가 그렇게 짧다고 느껴본 적이 없었는데.

문득, 아일랜드의 극작가 George Bernard Shaw의 기막힌 묘비문구도 떠오릅니다…그는 상당한 장수를 누렸고…생전에 왕성한 작품활동으로...많은 작품을 세상에 남기고 떠났지만…그런 그도 정작 마지막으로 남기고 떠난 말은 이러 했습니다.

'I knew if I stayed around long enough, something like this would happen.' (오래살면 이런일이 일어 날줄은 이미 짐작은 했었다)

죽을때 큰 회한을 남기지 않으려면…지금보다 몇배 더 열심히 살으란 말이 아닌지 생각해봅니다…

Douwe Draaisma와 George Bernard Shaw가 전해주는…마음의 철학과 어울리는…전면에 흐르는 애잔한 선율…낮게흐르는 비운의 선율…아픔을 드러내는 음악이 아니라…오히려 그것은 아픔을 감추고…기쁨을 드러내는 역설의 미학을 전해주는 “Laura Les Ombres De Lete” 의주제곡 “La Tristeesse De Laura”…마음을 적셔주는......잔잔한 기쁨은 오래 간다 결코 잦아들지 않기에...기다림의 미학를 넌즈시 일러준...기억에 남는 음악 입니다.
