USS New York
In November, the U.S. Navy commissioned the USS New York, which has 7.5 tons of scrap steel from the World Trade center in her bow. The amphibious transport dock warship is 864 ft. long, can hold up to 800 personnel or land two Super Stallion helicopters or two Osprey tilt motor aircraft or up to four Sea Knight or utility helicopters.
